Setup

Connect in under a minute

Pick your client. Each one connects to the same server and signs you in with your Decktopus account.

Claude (web and desktop)

Open Settings, then Connectors, and click Add custom connector. Name it Decktopus, paste the server URL, then click Connect and sign in.

create_ai_deck

Creates a presentation or carousel (1 to 30 slides) from a prompt, in any language, optionally grounded in your files.

generate_ai_deck_style

Builds a visual style from your brand website (logo, colors, fonts) or from a topic.

list_ai_deck_styles

Lists saved styles so new decks stay consistent.

import_ai_deck_from_file

Brings in an existing PPTX, PDF or HTML deck, using no AI credits.

get_ai_deck_status

Tracks rendering progress and returns the share link.

What is the Decktopus MCP server?

It’s a remote MCP server that lets AI assistants create, import, share and track Decktopus presentations from chat. It works with Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and any client that supports remote MCP servers.

Can it create PowerPoint files?

It creates decks you share by link and imports existing PPTX, PDF or HTML files. To get a .pptx file, open the deck in Decktopus and export to PPT, available on Pro and Business plans.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes, through the Decktopus App for ChatGPT. Add it from ChatGPT’s Apps directory and mention @Decktopus AI in any chat.

How much does it cost?

Usage draws on your Decktopus plan’s AI credits, at 5 credits per rendered slide. Imports are free, and your assistant shows the estimated cost before it generates.
